Man Who Abducted 10years Boy In Exchange For 3bags Of Rice
An unidentified man was called in to have abducted a kid of about 10years of age in exchange for 3bags of rice which amounts to about 48,000, in Ijegun area of Lagos state.
According to the boy who was sent on an errand by his mom to buy groundnut oil, he said the man introduced him self as his cousin, and interacted with him like he knew every one in the family so he was convinced, so after he bought the groundnut oil he told him to escort him to a shop were the sale rice so when we got there he said I should say nothing that he just wants to play with the sales girl so I agreed.
He said When the man got to the shop with him, he asked how much was a bag of rice. The sales girl told him it was N16,000 and he left with me, telling the sales girl he was going to tell the woman that sent them.
“Moments later, we came back and he said that he needed two bags. Again, he called the purported person that sent them on phone and suggested that they should add one more bag.“After the call, he told me to help him get a tricycle that would convey the three bags of rice to Fire Junction, where he claimed the owner was. He told the sales girl I will remain with her while he went to get the money.
After some hours the sales girl realize it was a scam on her, then the case was reported to the police, even at the boys home a search party was organized to look for him.
The Police, however, released him to his parents same day with a directive to report back to the station yesterday, where a meeting between the boy’s parents and owner of the shop who insisted on getting the money for the bags of rice.
