It was a shocking incident as immediate past Councillor of Wanikade, one Mr. Owalum Francis Igbologidi bearing an AK-47 rifle. The picture is said to have been taken after the first day of war between two villages in Ukelle community of Yala local government area in cross river state
The war between the people of Wanihem and Wanikade is over a piece of land since on june 29 2017, which has lead to the dead of not less than 150 persons, destruction of 1,233 buildings and displacement of over 14,000 persons. Victims of the affected communities are now internally displaced and camping in over four camps in Benue State.
The photo was said to have been taken on the first day of war when the people of Wanikade attacked Wanihem, these picture has drawn outrage on social media with some people calling for his arrest as they wondered how a leader became an active participant in the north Ukelle carnage.
